Mechanical Engineer

Arconic Inc.?s Tennessee Operations is seeking an experienced and talented Manufacturing?Mechanical Engineer?for our Tennessee Operations facility.?

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide Engineering support to maintenance and operations beyond helping to restore flow.

  • Provide technical solutions to recurring design, process and application problems, analyze equipment and process data to identify opportunities and develop solutions and system improvements to address those opportunities.

  • Develop, manage and implement capital projects, major repairs and maintenance projects and provide some process engineering support.



Basic Qualifications:?

  • Bachelor?s degree inMechanical Engineering from an accredited institution;

  • Minimum of 3 years'experience with working knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles;

  • Employees must be legallyauthorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibilitywill be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available forthis position.

?Preferred Qualifications:?

  • Minimum of 3 years'experience with mechanical systems, to include hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps;

  • Minimum of 3 years'experience in product and process failure analysis;

  • Minimum of 1 year of AutoCADor similar CAD software experience;

  • Experience working on rollingmill equipment (Mills, rolls, mill drive components, shears, table rolls,coilers, etc.). Aluminum rolling preferred;

  • Strong maintenancebackground;

  • Working knowledge of rollingmill actuators (CVC, HGC, Roll Bending, etc.);

  • Experience in justifying,managing and installing capital projects;

  • Experience designing,installing, troubleshooting and maintaining industrial hydraulic and pneumaticsystems;

  • Experience designing,fabricating and installing mechanical equipment;
    Working knowledge of mill coolant systems, coolant filtration and coolantapplication;

  • Strong background in machinedesign and failure analysis;

  • Understanding of world classmanufacturing techniques such as lean manufacturing, JIT, SPC, TQM, etc.;

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
