Position Description:
Arconic is currently in search of a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Global Rolled Products (GRP) Operations business unit in Alcoa, TN.
Arconic?s Global Rolled Products Business is a leading manufacturer of highly-differentiated aluminum sheet and plate products for the aerospace, automotive, commercial transportation, brazing and industrial markets. Our Alcoa, Tennessee facility has recently completed an expansion to serve customers in the growing automotive market.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer position will provide engineering support to maintenance and operations beyond helping to restore flow.
Responsibilities :
+ Assisting production, technical, and maintenance with various types of equipment and process issues from an engineering perspective.
+ Providing technical solutions to recurring design, process and application problems.
+ Developing, managing, and implementing all phases of capital projects, major repairs, and maintenance projects and through final start-up, acceptance and project close-out.
+ Although this position primarily works day shifts M-F, it is expected that they work off-shifts and/or weekends as needed to support the functions of this role

+ 8 years experience with mechanical systems to include hydraulic and pneumatic systems
+ Experience working on casting and/or molten metal equipment and systems
+ Strong maintenance background
+ Strong mechanical engineering skills
+ Strong written and oral communications skills
+ Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills
+ Proficient with AutoCAD or similar CAD software
+ Experience in justifying, managing and installing capital projects
+ Experience designing, installing, troubleshooting and maintaining industrial hydraulic and pneumatic systems and other mechanical equipment
+ Ability to work with cross functional teams
+ Strong business, technical, computer, and analytical skills (from educational background and/or manufacturing experience)
+ The ability to engage with employees at all levels of the organization.

Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
+ Minimum of 5 years? experience with mechanical systems to include hydraulic and pneumatic systems
+ Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
+ This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
