This position is exposed to difficult situations in handling complaints and billing concerns.
Data entry must be accurate in the practice management system.
Plays a key role in providing exceptional customer service.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous medical office experience preferred.
Previous insurance experience preferred.
Knowledge:
Good working knowledge of a computer system including the current window programs.
Knowledge of insurance carriers preferred.
Knowledge of English grammar, spelling and basic math required.
Skills:
Good customer skills are required.
Computers and data entry skills must be above average.
Math skills required.
Good telephone etiquette essential.
Abilities:
The ability to multi-task and keep a level temperament while dealing with stressful situations.
Ability to handle money effectively with accurate data entry of payments.
Must be able to problem solve.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
